I would suggest reading as much DFW as possible. And stopping to smell the flowers. Literally.
In terms of advertising, I would say this: Take a look at what Indiana Live did to promote their opening, and do the absolute, polar, diametric opposite of that. Shun cynicism and easy, LCD thinking at all costs.
